You cannot do this over your own sink
A cartridge razor over your own sink is not this. The hot towel shave is a slow, precise ritual you cannot give yourself, and it is one of the things men come to Main Street in Dunedin for that they cannot get anywhere else in town.
The oldest part of the craft, done the old way. The Traditional Shave is 30 minutes: a steam towel, hot lather, a pass with the grain, a second lather and a pass against it, and a cool towel to finish. The Premium Shave is 45 minutes and builds our signature men's facial around the shave. The Premium Head Shave finishes the scalp with a clay mask.

Hot Towel Shave, answered
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Either works. Appointments come first, so booking online is the surest way to get the barber and the time you want, but we take walk-ins whenever a chair is open. Call the shop at (727) 330-7083 and we will tell you what is free today.
How long does a haircut or the package take?
Cuts are booked at 30 minutes and can run to 45 when the cut needs it. The Premium Package, the full experience, is about 75 minutes, and a first visit is booked at 90 so there is time for everything.
What is included in a hot towel shave?
The Traditional Shave is 30 minutes: a steam towel, hot lather, a pass with the grain, a second lather and a pass against it, and a cool towel. The Premium Shave is 45 minutes and adds our men's facial around it: a cleanser and an exfoliating scrub with a massaging power brush, hot steam towels with essential oil, two passes of the razor over hot oil and hot lather, then a post-shave clay mask, toner, a chill towel, moisturizer and a beard balm.
Can I book a specific barber?
Yes. Booking runs through Vagaro, and you choose your barber by name, so you can sit with the same person every time. If yours is booked up, try another. Every barber here is vetted through a technical interview, plenty of clients move between barbers, and none of them mind.
How far ahead can I book?
Same day is fine. Online booking opens two months ahead, and for a date further out, call the shop and we will book it for you.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for 48 hours notice and need at least 24 hours to cancel or reschedule. Inside 48 hours, call the shop, and leave a voicemail if we are closed. Inside 24 hours, or a no-show, can be charged up to the full price of the booked services, and cancelling within two hours counts as a no-show. Moving your appointment earlier is always fine. It is not our objective to charge you. We would rather serve you.
